A sandwich man is a person whose business is to pedestrian traffic in the streets carrying two placards advertising, a front and the other on the back, connected by straps over the shoulders.

Several actions are prohibited as regards the street Marketing:

- Distribute or throwing of a vehicle of propectus printed, various objects in a few goals whatsoever.
- Drop off or throw in all or part of the public highway and in the buildings of public utility, or on the benches walks, all  papers, printed matter, newspapers, leaflets
- Distributed newsletters, flyers and other documents throughout France day of balloting.

Formerly limited to the distribution of flyers or to men’s use sandwiches, the street marketing become more and more innovative.
